Tours in the Netherlands

We know the country very well and we have many contacts over there. Especially for residents of South Africa we therefore can arrange surprising and inexpensive holidays in the Netherlands.

Cities, Castles and Estates

The Netherlands is a perfect holiday destination. Ancient cities with many reminders of days long gone by, picturesque villages along winding rivers, vast grasslands with grazing cows, old country houses and ancient castles and modern cities with relatively new residential areas. Public transport in the Netherlands is extremely well organized. It is great to travel by train (or bus) and often economical too.

Cycling

Your holiday in the Netherlands is not complete if you have not cycled. The Netherlands has an extensive network of bicycle lanes. Of course cycling in Amsterdam is a must, but you will have your best memories of cycle tours in one or more of the most beautiful provinces in the Netherlands.

Sailing, Giethoorn and the Delta Works

And how about a sailing cruise on an antique boat, a day trip to Giethoorn (the Venice of the North) or a visit to the Delta Works (one of the largest waterworks in the world)?

Ancestral connections

For centuries many ships from Europe sailed to 'new' continents. Often members of the crew wanted to remain in the new country where they built a new life. In South Africa many people have a Dutch surname. Traditionally there are relationships with family in Europe.

Maybe you are interested in genealogical research or maybe you want to find ancestral connections in the Netherlands? We can assist you with this and you can include this in your holiday plans.

We arrange your trip and your overnight accommodation in B&B’s in the Netherlands. Staying in a B & B is economical. You will get personal attention and may make friends for life. We can also assist in organising day tours combined with the search for old family ties.
